Attorney Greg Hrebinko brings a diverse background and unique perspective to his legal practice, shaped by experiences across the United States and Mexico. At HardBall Law, Greg focuses his practice on Immigration Law, Family Law, Martial, and Criminal Law, helping individuals and families navigate legal matters that can have a significant impact on their lives and futures.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grove City College in 2006. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Veracruz, Mexico, where he joined his now-wife. During his time there, Greg worked at a private school and provided translation services, gaining valuable firsthand experience with the language and culture.
Greg later returned to the United States to pursue his legal career, earning his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida, in 2014, graduating magna cum laude.
After passing the Florida Bar Exam, Greg moved to El Paso, Texas, where he represented predominantly Mexican immigrants in matters before the El Paso Immigration Courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. His work allowed him to advocate for individuals and families navigating the complexities of the U.S. immigration system.
In 2019, Greg returned to Florida and joined the Manatee County State Attorney’s Office. For three years, he served as a prosecutor handling misdemeanor and juvenile cases, gaining valuable courtroom experience and an in-depth understanding of Florida’s criminal justice system.
Today, Greg draws on this varied background in his work across immigration, family, martial, and criminal law. His experience as both an advocate and former prosecutor, combined with his international background, gives him a well-rounded perspective when helping clients navigate challenging and often deeply personal legal matters.
Greg is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and also has basic proficiency in Portuguese, allowing him to communicate with and serve a broader range of clients.
Family
Family is an important part of Greg’s life. He and his wife have three children, and their eldest son is currently attending the University of Florida. When he’s away from the office, Greg values spending time with his family and being involved in his children’s lives.
International Work
Greg’s connection to Latin America extends well beyond his legal practice. He has spent significant time living, traveling, and volunteering throughout the region, including in Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru. These experiences helped deepen his understanding of different cultures and communities and continue to influence the perspective he brings to his work.
Volunteer Work
Greg has a longstanding history of international service. Between 2000 and 2006, he participated in outreach efforts in Jimenez, Mexico; Arequipa and Lima, Peru; Southern Mexico; and Guatemala. His volunteer work included visiting orphanages and organizing activities with children, as well as serving disadvantaged communities through construction projects, community outreach, dramas, and sports clinics.
